As I approach my retirement on February 29th, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we've shared over the past 10 years. Time has swiftly passed, but it's been filled with so many rich experiences. I want to express my profound respect and deep gratitude for each and every one of you.
Serving alongside you, whether you are a self-advocate, family we support, staff member, donor, or one of our agency partners, it has been an absolute honour. Your unwavering commitment and the impact you’ve made in the lives of the people we support has been life changing. It’s not easy to put into words the immense gratitude I feel. You are the heart and soul of Bethesda, setting it apart with your genuine love and support for others. Every day, your actions reflect the love of Christ, creating an environment where people don’t just live, but truly thrive.
To our staff members, the way you approach your work, embodying the spirit of Ephesians 6:7 and Romans 12:10, has left a lasting impression on me. Your selfless dedication to serving wholeheartedly has not only impacted the lives of those we care for but has also touched my own life in ways you might not even realize.
As I step into the next chapter of my life, I want to express my deepest thanks from the bottom of my heart. May God continue to richly bless each one of you, revealing Himself more and more in your daily lives. I have full confidence that the incredible work and love you bring to Bethesda will endure, making a lasting difference in the lives of many.
I am confident that this support will continue as Tori Dalair responds to God’s calling to lead Bethesda, as the new CEO. Tori has been working in the community living sector for 16 years and has been part of the executive leadership team at Bethesda since 2015. Tori’s deep faith, influential leadership, passion for our vision, mission, and values, along with her commitment to both Bethesda, the people we support and the communities we serve, uniquely position her as an exceptional leader to guide Bethesda into the future.
Thank you once again for your partnership in God’s ministry at Bethesda. It has been an immense privilege to serve alongside you, and I am confident that the best is yet to come for Bethesda under Tori’s leadership.
